Crash slows traffic on eastbound I-94 east of Rawsonville

Police were on the scene of an injury crash Sunday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 94 east of Rawsonville Road in Van Buren Township.

A Nixle alert from the Van Buren Township Department of Public Safety just after 3:30 p.m. said the freeway was shut down for an injury crash.

Van Buren officials said Michigan State Police was handling the crash. MSP could not immediately provide more details.

A Google map shows significant traffic backups in the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
