2nd person dies from injuries sustained in Superior Township crash
Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies continue to investigate a single-vehicle crash Monday in Superior Township that resulted in the deaths of two New Baltimore women.
About 2:44 p.m., the car was traveling west on Warren Road and ran a stop sign at Gotfredson Road, sheriff's department spokesman Derrick Jackson said.
Jackson said the car then went off the road and struck a tree.
The passenger, who is in her mid-90s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who is in her mid-70s, was extricated by firefighters and flown to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
It's unclear whether one of the women was suffering from a medical problem prior to the crash, Jackson said. Authorities have not released the names of the women, pending notification of family members.

Oh no. How terrible. And that as I recall is a very rural area, gravel road. I hope they didn't suffer.
