By Cindy Heflin

Crashes on U.S. 23 in Ann Arbor were slowing traffic Thursday morning.

One was reported on northbound U.S. 23 near Interstate 94. The other was on southbound U.S. 23 near Plymouth Road. Both were two-vehicle crashes, and neither was believed to be blocking traffic, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said.

State police were at the scene of both, the dispatcher said at 8 a.m.

Further information was not available.

Still waiting for ANY statistic's on the number of crashes on area freeways in a year. We know how many dogs are lost each year. Or how many people recycle. But crash stats must be very elusive! Just Saying.
