18-year-old Pinckney man charged with home invasion, assault

By Heather Lockwood

An 18-year-old Pinckney man was charged with third-degree home invasion after police say he broke into an acquaintance's Northfield Township home and got into a scuffle with him.

Township police Lt. Tim Greene said Ryan Dunn is accused of entering the apartment of an 18-year-old man he knows in the 9000 block of Harbor Cove through a balcony window on Nov. 27. Greene said Dunn intended to steal property, but the acquaintance was home and the two men got into a scuffle.

Greene said Dunn then fled back out the window and took off, and the resident called police. Nothing was stolen.

Greene said Dunn came into the police station and turned himself in the next day.

Dunn is also charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery.
