2 men charged in Pittsfield Township home invasion; third suspect still at large

Two men police said were found with numerous stolen goods have now been charged in a Pittsfield Township home invasion.

On Thursday, David Allen Hackstadt, Jr., 19, of Ypsilanti, was arraigned on charges of second-degree home invasion and second-degree conspiracy to commit home invasion. He was issued a $10,000 personal recognizance bond, according to a release from Pittsfield Township police.

Donte Cyrus Smith, 22, also of Ypsilanti, was arraigned Friday on charges of second-degree home invasion, second-degree conspiracy to commit home invasion and possession of burglary tools. Smith was issued a bond of 10 percent of $40,000.

The men were arrested Wednesday night following a home invasion in the 2400 block of Crystal Drive in Pittsfield Township, which was reported to police at 6:55 p.m.

Police continue to look for a third suspect witnesses saw fleeing the scene.
