PNC offers $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests in June bank robbery

PNC Bank officials are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the men responsible for robbing one of the bank's branches June 24 in Ypsilanti Township, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.

Police released the above surveillance photo after the robbery.

Two masked men entered the bank at 3175 West Clark Road shortly after 11 a.m. and jumped over a counter and glass partition that separates tellers from the lobby, deputies said.

The men took an undisclosed amount of cash. They were described as black and were wearing hooded sweatshirts and ski masks, deputies said.

Sheriff's department spokesman Derrick Jackson said there's no indication the robbery is related to a robbery Monday at Bank of America at 2250 West Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti Township. In that case, three people wearing masks entered the bank at 10:15 a.m., jumped over the counter and took money, deputies said. The robbers then went to the vault and took more money.

PNC ought to spend 25,000 dollars to improve security on that branch so that this will never happen again. The Key Bank on Michigan and Ford has security doors that the teller must open to allow entry and exit. Sure, that feature can be defeated, but I can't remember the last time that branch got robbed. Moreover, I feel safer going through that door than I do into a breezy foyer. It's a bank, people. It ought to be built formidably.

As much as it sucks I think we all know why its that way. PNC has money and AAPD doesn't.

If that picture is all they have to go on and these two spit the booty down the middle, without talking to anyone else this will remain unsolved. these guys or girls look like they had this one well planned. The clothing looks stuffed to maybe throw off the description a bit and thos gloves could be on any adult hand. Good luck with giving that reward away.
