A 22-year-old Ann Arbor man caught with spray paint bottles in his backpack is accused of vandalizing three buildings and a city park late Tuesday night.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said police received a call at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday reporting a man in the 700 block of Packard Street. Bush said the man, whose name is not being released because he has not been arraigned on any charges, was spray-painting the letters “PORS” in pink and black on buildings in the area.

Officers went to the area and talked to the man. As they were talking, officers could hear the sound of metal cans clinking together in the man’s backpack.

The man was identified and taken into custody. He was also accused of vandalizing equipment at Forsythe Park.

He was in lockup at the Ann Arbor Police Department as of Wednesday morning.
