A 24-year-old Ann Arbor man woke up early Thursday to find a man attempting to steal his television, according to police.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush reported the man was sleeping until 4:20 a.m. Thursday in his home in the 700 block of East Kingsley Street. A loud noise from the window blinds woke him and he saw a man standing in his living room.

The man was attempting to disconnect his television, Bush said. The resident yelled at the intruder, who then fled through the front door.

Nothing was reported stolen and the suspect entered the home by removing a window screen, Bush said.

Police are looking for the man, who is described as between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 inches tall, about 150 pounds, wearing white pants and a dark shirt.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call the Ann Arbor police anonymous tip line at 734-794-6939 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP (773-2587).
