Ann Arbor police investigate peeping incident at U of M sorority

By Lee Higgins

Ann Arbor police are investigating a peeping incident Sunday night at the Alpha Phi sorority in the 1800 block of Hill Street, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.

A woman was adjusting the blinds in her first-floor bedroom at 10 p.m. when she saw a shadow, Bush said.

The woman looked out her window and saw a man fondling himself, Bush said. Officers responded, but the man had left the area. A detailed description of the man wasn't available.

Anyone with information can call the department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

Too bad the police didn't arrive a bit sooner, they might have caught him red-handed.

This is a pitiful situation, to bad he got away. Hopefully he will get caught soon. I can understand this lady not getting a description, she was probably scared to death. Hard to tell what this mans intent was. Along with closing blinds and lights off, having (cell phone) at ear while adjusting blinds might have sent him off sooner.

This was always one of my biggest fears when I lived in that area as this would be about the last thing I would want to see before going to bed...there are always a fair amount of panhandlers lurking about that could possibly be looking for crimes of opportunity...keep your blinds closed or your lights off is the lesson here I guess. Hopefully there was no property damage.
