Ann Arbor police respond to reported burglary and arrest two men
Two 24-year-old Ann Arbor men were arrested Monday morning after they allegedly broke into a home on Arrowwood Trail, Ann Arbor police said.
Their names will be released after they are charged and make their first appearance in court, police said.
Officers found both men outside the home about 10:41 a.m. after responding to a report that someone was seen climbing through a front window of the home, police said.
Police went inside and saw several items had been placed in a basket on the living room floor, including a digital camera and Nintendo Wii, the report said.
A 42-inch television and stereo system were also out of place, police said.
One of the men forced his way inside through a window, the report said.

@ Macabre Sunset--if the suspects in this case are convicted of their crimes, I think you might take back your snide inference of a lenient justice system. Let's let the courts handle it. We are happy, though, that an observant neighbor picked up the phone & called this in instead of just shrugging it off with indifference.

I hope that others learn from this arrest. This needs to stop. I will be watching for my neighbors on the west side until this ends.

Seems correct to me. Well, allegedly correct, as I have yet to appear in court to testify to its correctness. Allegedly, they will be released on their own recognizance and eventually will plea to slightly involuntary trespass, which carries a sentence of 3-to-6 free meals and a pat on the back from the county sheriff.

Exactly why is the word allegedly used in this story? "...after they allegedly broke into a home." Two men broke into a home and were arested! There are no names mentioned, and no one is charged yet so there is nothing that is "alleged.... The Facts are what they are - two men broke into a home and were arrested! The overuse of the word is getting old, and well, quite lazy!
