Ann Arbor woman arrested after shoplifting at TJ Maxx, police say

By Lee Higgins

An Ann Arbor woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she stole underwear, shoes and other items from TJ Maxx on West Stadium Boulevard.

The 30-year-old woman, who was with at least six other people, including three of her children, has not been charged at this point; the case was turned over to prosecutors for review, an Ann Arbor police report said.

The woman is accused of stealing more than $600 in merchandise, pulling price tags off items and putting them in handbags on a baby stroller at about 5 p.m.

She struggled with officers and was forced to the ground, bumping her head on the way, the report said.

A loss prevention officer stopped the woman after watching her on surveillance monitors, according to the report.

Nice catch. I can see her kids heading for trouble if she keeps this up.
