Woman threatens another with box cutter in 1 of 2 Ann Arbor assaults
Police are investigating reports of two felonious assaults that occurred in Ann Arbor Wednesday, one involving a box cutter, the other a knife.
Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Stone School Road around 11:48 a.m. to investigate a report of two woman arguing over their children. One of them, a 17-year-old Ypsilanti woman, is accused of threatening the other, an 18-year-old Ann Arbor woman, with a box cutter, Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush. said. There were no injuries.
No other information was available about the incident at this time, Bush said.
Earlier that day, at 9:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Platt Road for a verbal argument. A 19-year-old Ann Arbor man was arrested and accused of attempting to stab a 19-year-old Ypsilanti woman with a knife. The man and woman knew each other. Police weren't releasing further information regarding their relationship. The woman was not injured.
The AAPD detective bureau continues to investigate the incidents.
