Pittsfield Township police are investigating a car theft and attempted car theft on the same day on Washtenaw Avenue, reports said.

Police say a 2000 Honda CRV was stolen from the 4700 block of Washtenaw Avenue on Friday. Also that day, the steering column was damaged during an attempt to steal a 2001 Acura from the 4800 block of Washtenaw Avenue.

In addition, reports show, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on Sunday in the 4700 block of Washtenaw Avenue.
