A Battle Creek woman who parked her car on South Division Street on New Year's Eve returned to it the next morning to find the rear window had been broken out with a champagne bottle, Ann Arbor police said.

Damage was estimated at $500, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.

The 22-year-old woman reported the incident occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
