Deputies say man stabbed after being jumped on walking path

A man was stabbed in the leg after being jumped by three assailants early this morning on a walking path from Congress Street to Packard Road in Ypsilanti Township, police said.
The victim, whose age was not provided, told deputies three assailants came out of the woods as he walked along the path shortly after midnight, according to a Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department summary of the incident. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The victim said one of the assailants was a black male in his mid 20s and another was a black male, about 14 years old. No description was provided for the third assailant.
No other details were provided.

@hypsi...are you serious? You're talking smack about the Emerald City where everyone loves and respects each other? We all know, even the victims of any miscommunications in A2 that there is no crime...just gross misundertandings and mis-interpretations of actions...c'mon now...don't be a hater of all that is good [ya know A2]

Really..4 negative stories in a row..when we just had a HUGE discussion on hoping that A2 blog.com would change, but guess not. Stabbed in the leg.. no motive reported (presumably nothing stolen). Call me jaded, but are we convinced this actually happened? I'm reminded of the young woman who fabricated the story of punching a potential carjacker in the face and escaping.

Ronn, I have to vehemently disagree with your advice. Not only does it not take in to account the number of attackers, it doesn't consider the size, shape, stamina af a victim. I would (surprise) highly recommending availing yourself of the best protection against multiple attackers. Situational awareness, mace or OC, a concealed carry permit and pistol and Michigan's Self Defense Act, especially the definition of disparity of force.

Was this an attempt Robbery or Gang member caught by rivals, or some random act of boredom that they went out and waited for the 1st person alone to walk path and jump him. motive is missing. 1) dont walk alone @ nite. 2) When attacked by group dont run, safe that energy, hold one and beat bite, scratch the crap out of him. in the end, you beat one, they beat one. 3) keep someone on your cell phone and start giving important info to your peeps on phone in case you cant talk yourself when your done.
