Deputies seize guns, marijuana during Ypsilanti Township traffic stop
Two teenagers were arrested Friday after Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies found two loaded handguns and some marijuana during a traffic stop in Ypsilanti Township, a sheriff's department media summary said.
Deputies stopped the car near the intersection of Woodglen Avenue and Briardale Court and determined the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, the summary said.
According to the summary, deputies searched the car and found the guns and some baggies of marijuana.
The 19-year-old male driver and 17-year-old male passenger, both from Superior Township, were taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, the summary said. County prosecutors are reviewing the case for possible criminal charges.
Sheriff's spokesman Derrick Jackson could not immediately be reached today for additional details.

Bad Boy, Bad Boy, watcha gonna do at yer next traffic stop? Good thing that some druggies haven't learned the benefits of good driving practices and driving a normal-looking vehicle. Sad though that LEOs have a better chance of scoring such a bust than honest citizens do of getting a lottery win.

Yes, this is in West Willow, where the two teens were shot in December but were found in Ypsi City (remember the "Two University Students Shot in Ypsilanti Township" fiasco article?). We've had several reports of shady activity over there on Briardale... :/

@dading--It couldn't be West Willow. They don't allow guns in West Willow.

You're right. Briardale Ct. is where the two "College Students" were shot.
