Eastern Michigan University student reports he was robbed

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Eastern Michigan University Police Department is looking for three men in connection to an armed robbery that took place early Sunday in Ypsilanti, according to a release from the department.

The victim, an EMU student, reported that at 12:30 a.m. at Oakwood Street and West Circle Drive, the three males were traveling in an older model beige-colored station wagon, according to the release from EMU police. The front and rear passengers got out of the car and the backseat passenger held what appeared to be a long gun. The victim did not see the driver.

The victim gave his wallet and reported the only things that were taken were a small amount of cash and a check, according to reports. He reported no injuries.

One of the men is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches tall, with a thin to medium build, rounded jaw and no facial hair and was wearing a gray t-shirt and black shorts. The other is described as an African-American male, about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches tall, wearing a blue and white bandana across his face and a Detroit Tigers ball cap.

It wasn't immediately clear which of the men held the gun.

The victim could not provide any further details.

The incident was not reported to the EMU Police Department until several hours later.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the EMU Police at 734-487-1222.

"the three males were traveling.." Were they male cats? Dogs? Horses? If male humans, over 18, why not call them "men"? "Male" is an adjetive, not a noun. Didn't you ever have an English class? College? What kind of reporting is this?

Sorry, conspiracy theorists, but it appears this group may have perpetrated another robbery in Ypsilanti Township. Apparently, they don't check their maps as closely as some of you have speculated.

Being that Eastern Michigan University is a PFZ(CEZ) I can see this happening more often.. Like Ricebrnr said, the wolves know where to hunt. Without sheep dogs around the wolves are going to go crazy....
