Electronics, jewelry reported stolen from 2 Washtenaw County homes over weekend

Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies are investigating two residential burglaries in which electronics and jewelry were stolen over the weekend.

A resident of the 2000 block of Lakeview Drive in Ypsilanti Township reported that several items were stolen from the home while the resident was away on Saturday afternoon. Deputies determined that a thief or thieves had entered through a ground-floor window.

Items reported stolen included a Sanyo 32-inch flat screen television, an iPod Touch, a Compaq Presario laptop computer, a Sylvania 19-inch flat screen television and a Nintendo Wii game console.

Deputies are also investigating a burglary that occurred sometime over the weekend in the 4000 block of Berry Road in Superior Township. The victim reported the break-in on Sunday.

Deputies determined that the burglar or burglars got in through a door. Multiple jewelry items were reported stolen. No suspect information was available, and the case remains under investigation.
