Felon faces additional prison time for crimes related to Saline auto burglary
An Ypsilanti man who was already imprisoned in a series of vehicle break-ins and fraud charges on the state’s west side was recently convicted for a parallel crime spree in Washtenaw County. Court records show Todd Foddrill, 35, pleaded guilty to drug possession and theft charges stemming from his Sept. 15 arrest in a restaurant parking lot on Ann Arbor’s south side. Charges of fleeing and eluding police in Pittsfield Township and driving with a suspended license in a different incident in August will be dismissed at sentencing April 25, according to records.

They also found marijuana, illegal prescription drugs and nearly three dozen gift cards from chain stores and restaurants that were purchased with stolen credit or debit cards, reports said. Foddrill was not charged with that or any other car break-ins reported at the center last summer because of a lack of proof, police said. However, at the time of his arrest, Foddrill was wanted on multiple bench warrants for larceny and fraud in the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids areas. He was sentenced earlier this month to serve between 18 months and 10 years in prison for three convictions in Kalamazoo County, prison records show. Those sentences are concurrent with a maximum four-year term he received in January after pleading guilty to multiple frauds in Kent County. Court records show he will be sentenced as a habitual offender in the local crimes. Art Aisner is a freelance reporter for AnnArbor.com. Reach the news desk at news@annarbor.com or 734-623-2530.

A felon is a FELON, a habitual offender at that! Do the right thing, put him away.
