Five guns stolen during Augusta Township burglary

By Lee Higgins

Three shotguns, two rifles and other items were stolen during a burglary sometime during the past month at a garage in Augusta Township, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.

A 54-year-old man reported at 5 p.m. Sunday that a door to the garage in the 9100 block of Rawsonville Road had been forced open, deputies said.

The guns were missing, along with a saw, tool box and generator, deputies said. So far, no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff's department tip line at (734) 973-7711.

Oh GREAT! Five more guns in the hands of criminals! Sounds like someone knew what was in the garage.

Yah it's a shame that the locked doors to his home wasn't enough... Sure hope he doesn't do any mischief with that saw, how scary!

Locking gun cabinets is a good investment. Helps to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
