Graffiti was found on the West Park band shell on Chapin Street on Friday night, Ann Arbor police said.
Someone spray-painted the shell with yellow and black paint between noon Jan. 1 and 5 p.m. Jan. 28, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.

Too bad. As long as we have less cops walking their beats, things like this are bound to happen more often. Property crimes are clearly destructive, but luckily no physical assaults are taking place in West Park with greater frequency. Given its location and isolation I'm still surprised we haven't heard of more robberies, assaults, or rapes. Also, with a time frame of 28 days, I think we can skip the day count and simple state last month. My goodness!

Round up all of the local Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa Hawkeyes fans for interrogation.

Let's try this again. I don't know the reason why my last comment was removed. The band shell is great. I hope the police catch whoever painted it.

Are any schools in the A2 district yellow and black? That would help narrow down your search.

I agree with Barb. The painter has had time to clean up, and maybe use different colors next time he/she feels the need to spray something. This is (destruction) of property.

That stinks and there's an awful lot of it going on. Too bad they don't have a tighter time-frame of when it occurred.
