Great Harvest Bread Company is burglarized

Ann Arbor police are investigating a burglary reported this morning at Great Harvest Bread Company at 2220 South Main Street.
Someone shattered the glass front door with a rock between 5:15 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 a.m. today and took an undisclosed amount of money from a cash drawer, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.
Anyone with information can call the police department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

The business was probably chosen because the burglars thought that they were more likely to get away with it than if the nearby CVS drugstore or Busch grocery store were broken into by them.

strange someone would think there would be cash in a drawer between sunday night and 3:30am. wouldn't most people assume it would be in a safe or most of it deposited?

Some cowards just don't have anything else to do. They took cash, but no bread? Hoping this burglar gets caught soon.

Wow - that's awful - and an odd choice for a burglary.
