Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies arrested two people Monday after finding a loaded handgun and marijuana in a car in Ypsilanti Township, a sheriff's department incident summary said.

The township residents, ages 21 and 24, were in a car that was stopped about 7 p.m. on Dorset Avenue near Tyler Road, according to the summary.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned today.
