Victims catch laptop thief in action and chase him from home
An Ypsilanti resident returned to his home Wednesday night to find someone stealing a laptop from his home, according to police.
The resident reported the home invasion at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday at the home in the 400 block of Perrin Street, according to police. The intruder ran out of the home with a laptop, police reported.
Multiple residents from the home chased the intruder but the suspect managed to escape after a few blocks, according to police. The investigation into the incident is on going.
No suspect description was available Thursday afternoon.

It's too bad that they were not able to catch up to the crook and disuade it/him/her from further pursuing a life of crime.
