Police: Man snatched $1,000 from 73-year-old Ann Arbor resident trying to buy house

A 49-year-old Jackson man stole $1,000 from an Ann Arbor man looking to buy his house in Jackson Wednesday, the Jackson Citizen Patriot reported.
According to the report, the 73-year-old Ann Arbor man was interested in buying the Jackson man’s home. While they were talking about the home and the deal, the Jackson man took $1,000 from the Ann Arbor man and went inside the house in the 900 block of South Jackson Street.
The Ann Arbor man called police, and the Jackson man was arrested, according to the report.

Wazzat a deposit? The dude went inside the house, end of story? Perhaps he was preparing a purchase agreement inside.....Was not the buyer invited in? I missed out on the robbery part......?

When the man left with the money. I wonder if he even owned the house? Maybe he was trying to sell someone elses house.

Yes, the moonshiners boiled it down (no lpun) from "Internal Revenue Service" personnel, - had to do with untaxed product, I believe. There was hooch in them thar hills.

I believe what are being referred to as "revenuers" are the patrol cars on the highway who are actively seeking to ticket motorists to generate revenue.

Is it time to get the revenuers off the highways and start patrolling the high crime areas? Every day brings new reports of home invasions, assaults, attempted rapes, etc.
