Laptop stolen out of car in Ypsilanti

A victim reported a laptop and bag of belongings was stolen from his car sometime on Friday in Ypsilanti, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department.

It was reported the unknown suspect entered the car somewhere on the 500 block of Rice Street in Ypsilanti. Then time of day the theft occurred is unknown.

The investigation of this case is ongoing and no suspect has been identified.

To the person who lost the laptop I am sorry for you but take this as a lesson learned. YPD is one of the best but has nothing to go on. I do hope they got a good print off the car and can catch this thief.

I don't want to be "that person", but the map shown is in Ypsi Township. I think Rice St in Ypsi City is off of E Cross.

You are right....if City Police reported it, it was Rice St in Ypsi....not the Google map site in the township.

Leaving stuff in sight in a unattended car is truly raising your risk of problems so much you should not be surprised when a problem happens. Real life, not in Mayberry.
