Man arrested after state police pursuit that ends in Ypsilanti
An Ypsilanti area man was arrested this morning after he engaged troopers in a pursuit on I-94 that ended in Ypsilanti when a trooper deliberately hit the man's car to disable it, Michigan State Police said.
No one was injured in the 11:40 a.m. collision at the intersection of South Huron and Harriet streets, said Lt. Wynonia Sturdivant, the commander at the state police's Ypsilanti post.
A trooper activated her lights and sirens attempting to stop the man on I-94 in the Romulus area for tailgating, Sturdivant said. The man would not pull over, Sturdivant said. Upon his arrest, the man told troopers he "just freaked out," Sturdivant said.
The man was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail. Charges are pending.

Let me guess, the suspect did not know the officer was trying to pull him over. Right?

@ mastercraft1, I also hope no troopers were injured, and feel it was a typo on your part. As far as dumping him in Ypsi, apparently here is where he was headed. (not actually to the Washtenaw County Jail) Just happened to be where he ended up. Great Job, Michigan State Police!!

If the inital crime was committed in Romulus (following to closely) why was the perp dumped at the Washtenaw County Jail?
