Man arrested after burglary in Ypsilanti
A 51-year-old man was arrested during the investigation of a burglary Tuesday morning on Pearl Street, Ypsilanti police said.
Between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., police said someone entered a home in the 900 block of Pearl Street through an unlocked back door and stole a wallet, two cell phones, laptop computer and cash.
Officers used GPS tracking software to recover one of the stolen cell phones in the 500 block of Emmet Street and arrested the man, a police crime summary said. The man is under investigation for receiving stolen property, the summary said.
He was later released as charges are pending.
