Man attempts to hide drugs during traffic stop, Ypsilanti police say
A 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police say he attempted to hide drugs from Ypsilanti officers during a traffic stop.
The man was a passenger in a car stopped at 5:37 p.m. at Second and Monroe streets, according to a police incident log.
When officers attempted to search him, he threw a bag of suspected cocaine on the ground and attempted to destroy it, the log said.
Officers also found two bags of suspected marijuana and a digital scale during the search, the log said.

There is no mention of charges here. Tests are pending. If the defendent actually had pot and cocaine.... and a scale....the scale becomes relevant. Let's wait for the results. I'm Sure that the Prosecuting Attorney is.

if you get pulled over with a scale it means nothing. if you get pulled over with some tiny ziploc bags it means nothing. add in some "suspected marijuana" and cocaine and it goes with the drugs if you like it or not. better keep some sugar in the trunk with your digi scale.

Ed, if you grew up in Ann Arbor you would have noticed them disappearing from junior high schools too. The scale is what will elad to the manufacturing charge. If there was no scale this gemtleman would only be looking at a possession charge.
