Man accused of drunken driving after crashing car

By Cindy Heflin

A driver who crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole in Scio Township early Thursday morning was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies said.

The driver, a 43-year-old man, failed field sobriety tests after deputies were called to investigate the crash about 1 a.m. Thursday at 3900 East Dellhi Road, northwest of Ann Arbor, a sheriff’s department media summary said.

The driver was arrested without incident, and the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review of possible charges.

Further information, including the driver's place of residence, was not immediately available.

Whether or not this person was actually drinking, I think it should be clear that we should not "celebrate the new school year with beer."

Speaking of Scio Township. Twice Wed night about 9:30 near Pratt rd & Dexter rd my sons car had rocks thrown at it. He went to the sheriffs office on Zeeb and was told Kids hiding in the pines have been doing it. He was not told how they new it was kids or what they are doing about it. But there are some parents out there that better check on there kids before they cause someone to run off the road.
