By AnnArbor.com Staff

A 27-year-old man was slashed in the arm during an assault early Friday, Ypsilanti police said.

The victim told police he was leaving a business at 4 a.m. and was in the 200 block of Pearl Street when he was assaulted by two men, reports said.

Police said the victim apparently knows one of the the assailants, who is now dating the victim's ex-girlfriend. The victim suffered a laceration to the arm and sought medical attention on his own, reports said.

He declined to prosecute and did not give police any additional details about what happened, reports said.

Sounds like a personal problem to me. Why even call the police if he is going to decline to prosecute? Such a waste of time for the officer on duty!

@AA.com---why don't you just say what the business was. There are not many businesses open at 4am. Could it be Deja Vu?
