An Ypsilanti man accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl faces a final pretrial hearing July 6.

Randolph Deshawn Hussey, 36, is charged with six counts of criminal sexual conduct. The girl says Hussey sexually abused her numerous times over the past nine years.

Many of the incidents occurred at a residence on Desoto Avenue in Ypsilanti Township, according to court records.

In February, Hussey stood mute when he was arraigned on the charges. The alleged victim testified at a preliminary examination held in the district court on Feb. 21. At that hearing the judge found there was probable cause to have the case bound over to Circuit Court

Court records show Hussey was convicted in November 2000 of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, heroin or other substance, less than 50 grams.

At that time, he was also convicted of delivery or manufacturing of both marijuana and cocaine or heroin.

If found guilty on the CSC charge, he could be sentenced as a habitual offender.

Hussey is scheduled to appear before Circuit Court Judge Donald Shelton at the July 6th hearing.
