Man hospitalized after attack that followed late-night snack order
Getting a late-night snack after a night out turned into a painful experience for one Ann Arbor man, who had to be hospitalized after being assaulted by two men early Monday morning.
Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said the man was at a bar before going to the 1200 block of South University Avenue to get something to eat. Bush said the man went into a restaurant to order and walked back out the front door.
As he left, the man was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground. The man told police he was kicked six times in the ribs by two men and twice in the jaw when he attempted to stand up.
Police responded to the University of Michigan Hospital after the assault was reported just after 3 a.m. Monday. The man had soreness in his ribs and jaw, Bush said.
