Man injured during assault at The 5th Quarter in Ann Arbor

A 20-year-old man was assaulted early Monday during a fight at the The 5th Quarter that involved the club's security personnel, Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said.

The man was taken by ambulance to Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital after the 1 a.m. incident, Bush said.

Bush did not have information on the condition of the man, who suffered facial injuries.

It's unclear how the fight started, Bush said. Witnesses said the victim was shoved from behind, and an argument ensued, Bush said.

The Ann Arbor Police Department would not release a copy of the police report today. AnnArbor.com has filed a Freedom of Information Act request for it.

Anyone with information can call the department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

Oh, geez. Not again. Why don't they simply do the right thing, and shut the place down? Why doesn't somebody talk to Van Dam about it. I hate even walking by that place. Simply the stench, and throwing up drunks, and all.

If you feel so strongly about it, Matt, don't wait for "them" (whoever that's supposed to be) to do something... maybe you should be the "somebody" to talk to them.
