This is the suspect description police provided. I'm guessing they got the description from the victim. I'm not sure how else a more comprehensive description could be provided.

John, I almost feel guilty for being critical but you might "pass on" to AAPD that they're getting MIGHTY VAGUE lately. That's not your fault -but when someone gets vague with me I generally ask them to STOP - so I expect you often do the same? Recently, I think it was in one of your articles, the police spokesperson said that they'd sent a massive response to a location due to a "mental illness issue." If you guys are going to be so un-demanding as to let such inexcusable vagueness go, then who are we supposed to count on for actual details? Also re: " I'm not sure how else..." bears directly on the above, if you - a reporter - aren't sure how to get information from sources like our police department - who is? Best wishes anyway. :-)

It says..."robbed by an acquaintance in Ann Arbor Thursday night"...so why not give the alleged perp's description or the suspect's name so he can do the right thing and turn himself in...as soon as I become a 5'10" 20 year old supermodel...

Great description, why even include that vague of a description. Did this suspect have a race or skin color or was he invisible? Any facial hair, what color was the hair on his head was it purple. Perhaps we should be on the lookout for a 6'0 180lb invisible man with a purple head of hair. Great reporting AA.com, keep up the good work. P.S. Because he's invisible the only portion of him that is visible will be his purple hair. Be on the lookout.

Since he took his phone, just call him and track him using the G.P.S. on the phone. That is possible isn't it.

I imagine he didn't take the phone to keep as his own personal cell phone, they are generally turned off and sold.
