Man reports attempted robbery on South Grove Road in Ypsilanti

A man told Ypsilanti police he was walking in the 100 block of South Grove Road Friday afternoon when a young man attempted to rob him at knifepoint.

The incident occurred at 3 p.m. The victim told police the young man pulled out a knife and demanded money, so he ran to a business in the 300 block of East Michigan Avenue and called police.

No detailed description of the young man was available. Police are continuing to investigate.

I guess there would be no detailed description of the man, the victim probably only saw the knife and ran. I would do the same. Is there a safe time to walk down the streets in Ypsi??
