Man robbed at Golfside Lake Apartments in Pittsfield Township
A 63-year-old man was robbed Monday night at Golfside Lake Apartments in the 4900 block of Lakeridge Street, Pittsfield Township police said.
The man was in a gazebo about 9:23 p.m. when two men approached, a police news release said.
One of the men pressed an object against the victim's back that the victim believed to be a handgun, threatened his life and took his laptop computer, the release said. The men then left the area. Police did not have detailed descriptions of the men.

Ron - McKinley Properties, according to its website, owns that complex. When pointing fingers, I'd start there, seeing what, if any, security apparatus it has at the complex.

What a shame, apparently this is a public gazebo. Happy to have my own private one on my property. If this was in fact a hand gun in the robbety, this victim must have been terrified. Sad!

It takes real courage to rob a 63 year old man, simply sitting and doing his computer work. NOT

Seems like a *lot* of violent crime around Golfside apts. Though I'm not sure if this is just the norm, or if it is increasing. How are "they" going to solve this, and who is the "they" that is responsible? Is it the police? Is it the apt complex? The township board?
