Man shoved down flight of stairs at The Fifth Quarter, Ann Arbor police say

A Woodhaven man suffered a cut on his head Saturday night after being shoved down a flight of stairs at a South Fifth Avenue bar, Ann Arbor police said.
The 23-year-old man, who told police he didn't know who shoved him, was taken by ambulance to the University of Michigan Hospital after the 11:50 p.m. incident at The Fifth Quarter, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.
The victim was dancing on the bar when he ignored a request by a bouncer to get down, Bush said. That's when the bouncer escorted him to the back of the bar, and someone shoved him down the stairs, police said.

My guess is the bouncer's buddy slammed him.

My Young Adult Children where there and witnessed this first hand. The stairs are for the Stage that is ladies only (a bit sexist however it is the rule), this young man was asked at least three times to respect the rule and get down. He then swung on a bouncer! Since it was my Young Adult Children's first "club" experience, it made quite the impression! I am sure they will be thrilled their adventure is now in the newspaper! LOL!

Flight of stairs coming off of the bar? Sounds pretty elaborate... I don't recall ever seeing this flight of stairs at 5th Quarter.

This man must be really drunk seeing as how the 5th Quarter is only one level. The only stairs in the building lead up to the stage, and there are two of them. I wouldn't call two stairs a flight of stairs.

So he got down from the bar THEN someone pushed him down a flight of stairs? Or did he bite it taking a step down to get off the bar?
