The Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety is encouraging community members to take a stand against crime Tuesday during the 26th annual National Night Out.

The event is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 in the parking lot of Target on Carpenter Road, a news release said.

People will have a chance to mingle with neighbors and join neighborhood watch groups. Police and fire vehicles will be on display for children, the release said.
