No injuries in Ypsilanti shooting Saturday morning

By Cole Bertsos

Officers were dispatched to a shooting at approximately 1:20 a.m. Saturday on the 400 block of South Adams Street in Ypsilanti.

There were no injuries in the incident, but the two female victims told police the argument began as a verbal dispute with a known male subject, according to a release from the Ypsilanti Police Department.

The victims said they were threatened before two rounds were fired in the home. Police were able to obtain evidence and locate the suspect near his home in Ypsilanti Township.

The suspect has been taken in to custody at Washtenaw County Jail and is pending arraignment.

Wow, I live three blocks from where it happened. It is a safe street and I have lived here since 73. Good job YPD, the police department that is overworked and underpaid. Our boys in Blue. Keep it up.

what I just said applies to the lady cops as well.

brian, by your own admission the YPD is overworked, and underpaid considering the job they have to do, i.e. babysitting a bunch of you-know-what's who think the only way to settle a dispute is through the use of firearms. they are also understaffed. they're doing they best they can with the limited resources they have. If you think you can do better, then do it but don't blame the cops for not being able to be everywhere at once.

It's amazing how many people can't handle a disagreement without using a gun. Animals.
