An intruder entered a Northfield Township home Monday evening while the resident inside was sleeping and stole a laptop computer, township police said.

The break-in occurred sometime in the evening at a home in the 6000 block of Whitmore Lake Road. The resident never saw the person enter or exit, police said.

Residents also are reminded to lock their doors and windows and turn on exterior lights if they’re available.
