Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering $1,000 for tips leading to the arrest of a man wanted for retail fraud -- more commonly known as shoplifting.

Police are looking for Steven Michael Inch, described as a white man, between 26 and 28 years old, approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall and 180 pounds.

Inch has existing warrants for retail fraud, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest and obstruction, said Troy Macon, Crime Stoppers' Washtenaw County director.

Macon said Inch is suspect in numerous retail frauds at Sears within Briarwood Mall and is wanted by Ann Arbor police.

Anyone with information about Inch's whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Washtenaw County will hunt this man down and punish him to the full extent of the law, but they will give a man that has beat his girlfriend within an inch of her life, or robbed a family at gun point a slap on the wrist and a 2,500 bond! smh...

Not that I condone shoplifting, otherwise known as retail fraud...but if a suspect isn't accused of a violent crime, why is it being posted here? There are much more important unsolved cases for Annarbor.com to report on.
