Pittsfield Township man held on $75,000 bond in child abuse case
A 37-year-old Pittsfield Township man is being held in the Washtenaw County Jail on a $75,000 cash or surety bond on two child abuse charges, records show.
Paul Stevens Magala was arraigned on charges of second-degree child abuse and third-degree child abuse Thursday afternoon, according to jail records.
Pittsfield Township Deputy Police Chief Gordy Schick said investigators were executing a search warrant on the case Thursday afternoon. He said more details would be released regarding the case after the search had been finished.
Court records show Magala was a resident of the Arbor Pointe Apartments. A search of the Offender Tracking Information System showed no results.
Jail records show Magala is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary exam at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.
