Police catch B&E suspect leaving scene of break-in
An alert witness helped police catch a suspect in a break-in that took place early Saturday morning in Pittsfield Township.
Police said they received a call at about 4:44 a.m. from someone who noticed the B&E in progress in an Allstate Insurance office on South State Street.
The witness described a man trying to kick in the door of the business.
Police responded and spotted a man leaving the scene.
They arrested the 30-year-old Ann Arbor man, and he spent the rest of Saturday morning at the Washtenaw County Jail, where he awaited charges on the break-in.

I wonder if upon his release this man will go out to do the same thing the following night somewhere in our town?

Apparently that Allstate Insurance location is near a Coney Island restaurant; I've never stopped in at any of those businesses accessible via State Circle, just drove past them to avoid a long line of traffic from State Circle waiting to turn onto State Street.
