Police find evidence of gunshots fired in Ann Arbor Saturday

By Kyle Feldscher

Ann Arbor police said Monday they found evidence of gunshots being fired on Chelsea Circle Saturday night, but no one was injured and no arrests were made.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said residents called police at 7:37 p.m. Saturday to the 3300 block of Chelsea Circle after hearing gunshots. Officers who responded found evidence indicating shots had been fired. Bush did not release the nature of the evidence.

Residents gave no suspect description to police and no one was injured by any of the shots, she said.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call the Ann Arbor police anonymous tip line at 734-794-6930 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP (773-2587).

What evidence did they find? Bullet fragments? Bullet holes? Or was the sound of the gunshot still ringing when the police responded? Great headline with no information to substantiate it.

This neighborhood is so ghetto. Why can't AAPD get a grip on this area? It's been nasty for years. Not a place I'd walk around at night.

It takes a lot of intelligence to make a statement like that. I'm sure your neighborhood is so very upscale.

Soon Obama will get the guns off the street, and it'll be just rainbows and unicorns.

I wish there was a requirement that you had to have an IQ above 80 to exercise your free speech rights. Unfortunatley under 80 seems to be the sweet spot for bigots and zealots.

I wish we had a requirement for gun owners to have an IQ greater than 80. Unfortuately, under 80 is the gun owner sweet spot.

So this person having a gun on his person is illegal, not mentioning the act of shooting in a residential area.

Guns are already illegal to have on the streets, unless you have a CPL. My guess is that this shooter does not have a CPL. I would love for the government to take the guns away from people who carry "illegally" on the streets.

give it a rest, there has been no gun control legislation proposed nor is there any in the works that I know of.
