Purse stolen at Double Eagle Coney Island, Ypsilanti police say

A purse containing more than $3,000 was taken Wednesday morning from underneath a counter at Double Eagle Coney Island on West Cross Street, an Ypsilanti police incident log said.

The incident occurred about 7 a.m., the log said.

The purse was recovered in a trash can behind the business, but the money was missing.

Sorry, I don't ever carry more than $100 in my purse at a time when I am out and about...in Ypsi or Ann Arbor I am not saying that they asked for it in any way, I am shocked that someone would carry that much in their purse, and not keep a tight grip on it....$3000 is a lot of money to me.
