Roof-mounted fan stolen from Ypsilanti Township restaurant

By Kyle Feldscher

A fan mounted on the roof of the La Fuente Mexican Restaurant in Ypsilanti Township was stolen during a nighttime larceny, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Employees noticed the fan was not working correctly Monday and discovered it was gone after some investigation, according to investigators. Deputies responded to the restaurant, 1930 Whittaker Road, and determined the fan had been stolen sometime during the night.

There was no suspect information available Tuesday, and deputies still are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information on the larceny is encouraged to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 734-973-7711.

This is the 2nd crime I can recall involving the roof at this shopping center. The hair supply company was broken into through the roof months ago.
