Stereo, textbooks stolen from car, Ypsilanti police say
A stereo and more than $500 worth of textbooks were stolen after the window fo a Ford Escort was smashed out Thursday at an East Michigan Avenue parking lot, an Ypsilanti police incident log said.
A 22-year-old man parked his car outside Walgreens in the street's 400 block to visit a friend and was gone for about two hours.
The textbooks were inside a backpack and the victim also reported that CDs were taken, the log said. The incident was reported about 1:37 p.m.
