Superior Township woman scares off intruder, deputies say

By Lee Higgins

A woman scared off a man who broke into her home Friday morning in the 8000 block of Ardmoor Drive in Superior Township, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.

At about 9:23 a.m., the woman was in her bed when there was a knock at the front door, a sheriff's department media summary said.

When the woman didn't answer, a man forced his way inside, the summary said. According to the summary, the woman hid in a closet and screamed when the man entered her bedroom.

The man left the home with a video game system, an iPod, a digital camera, cash and other items, the summary said. A detailed description of the man was not available.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff's department tip line at (734) 973-7711.

OMG, I might have gone into the closet with my hand gun, but I would have screamed (any name) John, honey get the gun! What the coward got can be replaced. (but not the woman) She was blessed!
