A thief or thieves took tools and lawn equipment from a storage shed and two garages in Ypsilanti recently, police said.

In the other case, someone took lawn equipment from an open garage in the 700 block of Charles Street, police said in a media summary.

It was not clear whether the thefts were related.

Maggots can certainly be a nuisance, but I have never heard of them slithering off with tools and lawn equipment. Especially as chilly as it has been lately.
